Taizhou Mingxin Firefighting Technology Co., Ltd. has received numerous requests addressing specific operational challenges: in the event of a fire at an oil depot, gasoline-powered engines cannot be used for fear of ignition; similarly, during a fire at a hazardous chemical warehouse, electric motors are prohibited due to the risk of sparking. So, what is the alternative? Water. Water is both safe and inexhaustible.

We have dubbed this YYS1.2/5.5-30 hydraulic firefighting smoke extractor the "Water Dragon." It requires neither fuel nor electricity; simply connect a standard fire hose, and the flow of water sets it in motion. Operating within a pressure range of 0.6 to 1.6 MPa, the unit spins with increasing vigor as the water pressure rises within this specified range.

In 2023, a large-scale oil depot in northern China conducted a firefighting drill. The scenario simulated a fire in a storage tank-an environment saturated with oil where the use of any equipment capable of generating sparks was strictly forbidden. The on-site commander specifically requested the deployment of the "Water Dragon." Firefighters connected a 65mm-diameter hose and opened the valve; as the water pressure surged to 1.2 MPa-delivering a flow rate of 20 L/s-the machine instantly sprang to life. In less than ten minutes, the dense smoke billowing above the oil tank was completely dispersed, bringing the drill to a successful conclusion.

This machine boasts a unique capability: dual-mode switching. We have engineered it with two distinct operating modes:

The first is the *Pure Air Mode*. In this setting, it functions as a dedicated smoke extractor, operating at full power to expel smoke with an airflow capacity reaching 30,108 m³/h.

The second is the *Air-Water Hybrid Mode*. Activating the misting mechanism causes water to pass through atomizing nozzles, transforming into a fine, dense mist that is then propelled outward by the airflow.

What are the benefits of this hybrid approach?

First, *dust suppression*: the water mist settles airborne dust within the fire zone, thereby improving visibility.

Second, *cooling*: the evaporating water mist absorbs heat, effectively lowering the ambient temperature within the fire zone.

Third, *oxidation prevention*: for materials susceptible to oxidation, the water mist creates a protective barrier that isolates them from the surrounding oxygen.

The engineers at Mingxin devoted considerable effort to the design of the fan assembly. The fan features a diameter of 550 ± 20 mm, with blades constructed from cast aluminum. Why choose cast aluminum? Its light weight results in low rotational inertia and rapid startup; its high structural strength ensures resilience against the impact of high-pressure water; and its rust-proof construction means no special maintenance is required after use-simply let it air dry.

Noise levels are kept within 97 decibels. For a hydraulically driven machine, this noise level is remarkably low. The primary source of noise in hydraulic machinery is the sound of water striking the blades; through repeated optimization of the blade angles, we have successfully maintained high operational efficiency while simultaneously minimizing noise output.

Weighing in at just 32.5 kg, it is nearly 10 kg lighter than gasoline-powered units with equivalent airflow capacity. It can be effortlessly carried by two people or easily pulled along by a single individual. The unit is also equipped with an adjustable angle mechanism, allowing you to direct the airflow precisely wherever it is needed.

Featuring a standard 65mm inlet diameter, the unit is compatible with any standard fire hose. No adapters or interface modifications are required-it is ready for immediate use right out of the box.
