The efficient fire suppression of fine water mist guns relies on standardized operating procedures. From initial preparation to on-site cleanup, every step affects the equipment's performance and safe use. Mastering standard operating procedures allows for rapid response, stable fire control, and reduced secondary risks during fire suppression.

Before operation, complete equipment inspection and preparation. Confirm that the gun body is intact, without cracks or obvious wear, and that all connections are secure and reliable. Check that the atomizing nozzle is unobstructed; flush with low-pressure clean water to remove any adhering impurities to prevent uneven spraying or abnormal mist field. Verify the water supply interface and pipeline compatibility to ensure there are no leaks, and check that the water supply pressure reaches the equipment's rated value. Insufficient pressure will directly affect the atomization effect and fire suppression efficiency.

Upon arriving at the scene, first securely connect the fine water mist gun to the high-pressure water supply source, ensuring the pipeline is free of twists or sharp bends to reduce water flow resistance and pressure loss. Start the water supply system and observe the pressure gauge reading. Only hold the gun body after the pressure has stabilized. When holding the gun, ensure the center of gravity is coordinated with your body posture, keeping your arms and shoulders relaxed for stable, prolonged spraying. Choose a suitable position based on the fire source location and wind direction, avoiding direct contact with high-temperature smoke.

During the spraying phase, control the spray distance and angle. Too close, and the water droplets will not be fully atomized before falling, reducing coverage; too far, and the mist density will be insufficient, weakening heat absorption and oxygen barrier effects. The goal is generally to evenly cover the fire area and potential spread paths, keeping the nozzle stable to ensure continuous mist distribution. In case of electrical fires, first confirm the power is cut off or take insulation protection measures to prevent the mist from conducting electricity and causing danger; in case of oil fires, avoid direct contact between water droplets and the liquid surface to prevent splashing and spreading of the fire. When working in confined spaces, ensure ventilation to prevent steam buildup from affecting visibility and breathing.

Once the fire is under control or extinguished, slowly reduce the water supply pressure before shutting off the water source to avoid water hammer damage to components. After shutting off the water supply, release residual pressure in the pipeline, disassemble removable parts, rinse them thoroughly with clean water, and dry them promptly to prevent rust or microbial growth. Check the nozzle and adjustment mechanism for smooth operation; lubricate or replace any parts found to be abnormal. Store the gun in a dry, well-ventilated, and dark place, avoiding extreme temperature and humidity environments that could affect the seal and material properties.
